Middle School Dominates Farmingdale

by Tim McManus

The Middle School team put on an impressive performance last night in Bethpage.  Taking on Farmingdale, the RVC boys were on fire all night, taking home a 13-0 victory.  Matty Prezioso wasn't tested too often earning the shutout but did have to make a few key saves when called upon.  Cooper Goldspiel, Dom Carron, and Ethan Epstein all recorded hat tricks on this night.  Will Stalzer, Edahn Shapir, Gevin Cook, and John Coletti added goals as well.  Max Slaiby and Andrew Morizio made some terrific passes assisting on goals.  The highlight of the game was a nifty set piece on the power play that the boys just learned in the locker room prior to the game.  A terrible 'crease call' by the official disallowed the goal but in our minds we are counting it! :)

Dom Carron was named 'Player of the Game' and took home a nice new CCM twig.

RVC finished the first half of the season battling for second place in the division, with points in six of seven games.  For th second half of the season, the team will meet all others for a second time leading towards the playoffs.  Go Cyclones!
